2026 Operation Christmas Child
Arcadia Chinese Baptist Church is once again participating in Operation Christmas Child, and we invite individuals and families to join us in packing a shoebox filled with gifts, love, and encouragement for a child in need.
More than simply filling a box with gifts, we encourage everyone to pray for the child who will receive your shoebox, asking God to use this simple gift to bring joy, hope, and an opportunity to experience His love.
How to Participate
An Operation Christmas Child information table will be available in the church courtyard with helpful information and pre-printed shoeboxes.
Outside of Sundays, families are also welcome to stop by the Church Office to pick up pre-printed shoeboxes. We recommend calling the office before coming to pick up a box or drop off a completed shoebox to make sure someone is available to assist you.
All donated OCC shoeboxes will receive a basic quality-control check before they are delivered to the local Operation Christmas Child collection station toward the end of November.
Option 1: Make a Direct Donation
If you would like to support Operation Christmas Child through a monetary donation:

Donation Deadline: November 1, 2026
All monetary donations designated for OCC will be gathered and sent together with the completed shoeboxes.
Option 2: Pack Your Own Shoebox
You may also pack your own shoebox and return it to the church.
Shoebox Drop-Off Deadline: November 15, 2026
Please include a $10 shipping donation with each packed shoebox.

Please include NEW items only.
Consider including at least one special toy, sports item, or game that a child will be excited to receive.

- Pens and pencils
- Erasers
- Colored pencils and crayons
- Scissors
- Pencil sharpeners
- Glue sticks
- Protractors
- Coloring books
- Backpacks or school bags
- Calculators, preferably solar-powered
- Other new and child-appropriate school supplies
Personal Items
- Clothing
- Shoes or slippers
- Reusable water bottles
- Washcloths
- Fashion accessories
- Brushes or combs
- Toothbrushes
Most Importantly: Pray
Please pray for the child who will receive your gift.
You are also encouraged to include a personal note and a photo in your shoebox. A simple message of love and encouragement can make your gift even more meaningful.
Every shoebox is more than a collection of gifts—it is an opportunity to share love, hope, and the message that a child is seen and cared for.
What NOT to Pack
To help ensure that every shoebox can be safely delivered, please do not include:
- Old or used items
- Food or drinks
- Soap
- Toothpaste
- Items containing liquid
- Breakable items
- War-related toys or clothing, such as toy guns or military-style clothing
- Scary or inappropriate toys or items
As a simple guideline, avoid packing anything that:
- Goes in your mouth
- Is rubbed or applied to the body
- Is war- or weapon-related
- Could be considered scary or frightening
